A moment of silence for a fellow blogger

I got an email this afternoon letting me know a fellow blogger, Mary Adams, had passed away. I never met her and knew her only through her writings. Mary wrote her blog, By Study and Also By Faith , an excellent example of how a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints can share the Gospel. I thought it would be appropriate to communicate this information with those who might not have been informed of Mary’s passing.


If you’ve ever visited her blog you might have noticed a quote from Theodore Roosevelt she had posted. I’ll share that with you now:


“The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again, who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, and spends himself in a worthy cause; who at best, knows the triumph of high achievement; and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.”

Oh, I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I have had her blog booked marked from nearly day one of my starting.

Tigersue, I never met her face to face, only through the LDS blogging community a few years ago. I'm glad somebody sent me an email or I'd never have known either.
