“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God , that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
Just don’t ask God if the Book of Mormon is true, that would be a huge mistake.
“… if ye would hearken unto the Spirit which teacheth a man to pray ye would know that ye must pray ; for the evil spirit teacheth not a man to pray, but teacheth him that he must not pray.”
This reminded me of that song about the streaker, “Don’t look Ethel; too late…, she’d already been mooned”. Don’t let me catch you reading the Book of Mormon or praying about it unless you’re ready for the fullness of the Gospel.

I wonder hoo many Christians actually recognize when the Holy spirit is involved in writing something.
And the song,
Oh', They call it the streak,
Look at dat,
Look at dat,
They like to show off thier physic,
I'm guessing quite a few since the Spirit testifies of the truth of all things. Most people recognize the truth when the read or hear it, even when it runs against what they want to hear.
This reminds me of a story from a guy in my Ward. He was talking to a non-member and asked if the guy knew the Bible was true. The guy said he did. He asked "How do you know the Bible is true?". Everything kind of went downhill from there.
That is such a truly simplistic answer as to whether the Bible is true or not.
It keeps coming true.
A philostopical answer would be if the proof is correct then answers
derived from proper application of the proof will always be true.
As with any proof if you do not properly apply it then the answer will not come true.
The reason that Christians mess up is usually because they do not apply all of the principles of God, mainly because it is difficult to know all of the principles of God and because of the propensity for men to act before they ask.

Mike, Thanks for the URL just in case I ever want to top that one. I'm about a third the way through reading the Book of Mormon again. I never cease to be amazed at how much I learn each time, things which I didn't take in some how become visible. I recommend it highly.
2013-04-09. i don't think foto was product of a tool (church sign maker) at all. my copy of the pic/foto dates from the'90s. i have the orig hardcopy! but again the latest windows op.sys is a just complicated rehash of wind'97. perhaps "church sign maker" was around in the 90s
