I was reading a Foxnews article about Obama’s judicial nomination for the 7th Circuit appointment , David Hamilton, about to go before the Senate. Hamilton would seem to be left of center on his politics; but aside from that, has his political agenda been brought into the court room? It would appear so; his rulings in regard to abortion and Christian prayers in public would indicate he is incapable of separating his political agenda while performing his duties as an unbiased judge.
One line by Republican Senator Jeff Sessions from Alabama at the end of the article caught my attention. Give it a moment while the turnip truck gets further down the street; that should be enough.
‘"This is not the type of service that should be rewarded with a promotion. This is one of those extraordinary circumstances where the president should be informed that his nominee is not qualified," Sessions wrote in his letter.’
In case you missed it, “…the president should be informed that his nominee is not qualified.” No, really; and I suppose Obama didn’t know that most of his Czars are radical Marxists intent on destroying the foundations of our Republic, of course Obama knows this. The idea that the vetting process would have weeded out such an undesirable choice is beyond me; no wonder the country is in such a mess. Some Senators are walking around Washington with sacks pulled down across their heads ever since they fell of the turnip truck.
Senator Sessions, Obama picked Hamilton BECAUSE he’s an activist judge who has empathy for the downtrodden rather than rulings based strictly on the laws as they are written. The only thing you won’t hear from Hamilton would be a variation of Sonya Sotomayor’s line; you know, the one about being a wise Latino woman able to come to a better decision than some old white guy.
