The Funeral is Friday

I'm still feeling poorly, an understatement. I've been telling some of my regular customers that the funeral is Friday if they want to come. Until then... Here is something to cheer everyone up.

A tip of the hat goes to my friend Richard Sutton for sharing this in my email.

Ethne,

Thanks for the thought, I'm on some high powered antibiotic for now, no fun at all. I should be almost human by Sunday.

If it is cures that you be after -

1/4 cup lemon juice
dessertsp honey
boiling water to 6oz

Mix

Add alchohol if desired.

ENJOY.

Go to bed. Turn electric blanket on 3. Sweat it out...

And keep the fluid intake (water is best) going.

FWIW.

Other than that, a speedy recovery whatever route you take.

Probligo - I'll do what I can to get that down him. Hopefully it will help.

So far, I have made some homemade chicken soup with plenty of garlic and onion. It's about all he can stomach right now.

We will try your remedy and see if it works. Thanks!

Probligo,

I tried your witch's brew today, tasted terrible. I didn't add any liquor to the mix, something I would call a hot toddy, and a long time ago would have had no problems doing. Either way I still feel like something the cat dragged in, but it did make me sweat all over for several hours.

Thanks to all for kind thoughts, the funeral has been postponed.

TFS,

It occurred to me after reading your comment that I had forgotten about our lemon tree.

We have a small Meyer which produces more lemons than we can ever use - about three to four crops a year. The thing about it is that it is one of the sweetest (least bitter) lemons I have ever come across. It is NOT a lemonade.

Next time try more honey in it. Sorry.

Glad to see you back at the top of the heap.
